The Wisconsin 1752 Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to education, networking and service of its members and the independent insurance agents that we serve.
Membership in the Wisconsin 1752 Club is comprised of insurance professionals such as field staff, marketing staff, and production staff, employed at insurance companies that distribute their product through independent insurance agents. We also have members that are employed by state insurance organizations such as the Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin.
The club derives its name from the year Benjamin Franklin formed the first mutual insurance company in Philadelphia. Ben Franklin, along with a local group of volunteer fire fighters, formed "The Philadelphia Contributionship for the Insurance of Houses from Loss By Fire", the first mutual insurance company. Philadelphia Contributionship remains in business today.
